Overview

This is UWP App to detect text in an image by the cloud service's latest technology with your PaaS service information. It's possible to translate automatically or manually and text to speech.

OCR and Translation service are designed to use that you select PaaS service.
And also, Detected and translated text are managed as a history data on your local PC using DB, your data is securely reusable.

User friendly UI and the features are designed for PC devices.(Desktop, Laptop, Tablet)

You can use with your video and game, e-book, manga, picture, pdf document, barcode, etc.
It's possible to scan barcode symbologies using camera or external barcode scanner too.

  • Google Cloud Platform (PaaS - Supported certification methods are API key and Service account.)
  • In-App Standard OCR (off-line OCR).
    Detecting speed is very fast. But it doesn't support AI. So, it's low accuracy than PaaS service.

Notes:
We don't recommend external web camera devices when use barcode scanning. We recommend tablet or 2 in 1 devices with rear camera.

User needs to install 'PawCam' app for android from Google Play Store.

In-App purchase

Overview

  • If user doesn't know about PaaS, user can use Azure or GCP service using In-App purchase. User can also experience those PaaS service by purchasing free trial products.

    In-App products are all consumable items. Purchased Item's quantity is subtracted when user consume its quantity.

    Member registration is not required, and this is a trial operation aimed at allowing user to easily experience the PaaS service.
    When many user connect with same end point at the same time, maybe the quality of response is lower with depend on user selected PaaS service.

    When user wants to process many images or translation characters, we recommend that user manages those PaaS service directly by user-self.

Products

  • Free trial item: $0 USD
    OCR and Translation service, user can purchase only one time by each service.
  • Paid item: $0.99 USD
    OCR and Translation service, user can purchase many times by each service.
  • When a purchased item has remaining of quantity, user can also purchase additional, and the quantity is accumulated.
  • Each item's price or initial quantity may be changed. Please check the latest information in this app.

Expiration date

  • There is no expiration date by all purchased items. User will be able to always use them as long as Microsoft store and those PaaS service are continuing.
  • User needs to purchase this app license when continue to use over 30 days.
  • All consumed quantity are managed by Microsoft. It can synchronise those quantity with user's windows 10 devices for that reason when use with same sign in account.

How to count for consumed quantity

  • When it succeeds, each service's quantity is counted down as follow;

    ・OCR: Every one image data. A PDF file's unit is a page.
    ・Translation: Every a character to translate. (include blanks and new lines)

    In the case of Azure, app's program checks to the actual quantity of characters to be translated that are returned when the translation results are received. Therefore, it may differ from the quantity of characters user send.
  • When it's canceled by user or stop with ocurrering error.

    It's counted down only suceeded images or chracters. Incomplete images or characters are not counted down.

How to purchase

  • User can purchase by using each service managing page in this app.

  • ① Enable In-App purchase switch.
    ② Select your endpoint to connect.
    　※Usually select global.
    ③ Purchase a item.
    　※In purchasing a item, will be connect to payment system by Microsoft.

  • After purchased, user can use user's preference service.
  • Every service's remaining of quantity is shown on main page's status bar.
